This is our son, Andy, who worked at the store for over 20 years, then went on to pursue his dream of playing professional Bocce.
Back in June, the USBF National Tournament was held in Methuen, Massachusetts, and this year it served as a qualifier for the World Championships of Bocce in Brazil. After a strong bronze-medal finish in Men’s Doubles, he won gold in Precision Shooting, earning a spot on Team USA! It was his second national gold in Precision Shooting and his eighth national medal overall but, most importantly, his first opportunity to compete internationally.
The World Championship takes place October 12–18 in Garibaldi, Brazil. Unfortunately, the USBF doesn’t have the resources to cover all of the travel expenses, so we're helping to raise $5,000 to get him to Brazil and represent Team USA. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward travel and would mean a tremendous amount. And if you’ve never heard of Garibaldi, Google it - it’s beautiful!
